15th Anniversary
The company, which was founded in 2000 by Mark Griffiths,
creates custom software solutions for a wide range of clients of
different sizes across diverse industries in Scotland and
Europe.
Graeme Humphrey, managing director of Codify, believes the rapid
growth in the sector is indicative of strong prospects and an
opportunity for Aberdeen to put itself on the international
technology map.
He said: "Our team has grown substantially in the past 15 years
and we are very proud of what we have achieved. We have a fantastic
mix of great experience and fresh thinking at Codify, which we will
continue to foster and utilise as the business grows further.
"As a company we have been through many changes in the
technology sector, which by its very nature evolves rapidly and we
are looking forward to what the future holds for us. I am
passionate about leveraging technology in the current oil and gas
downturn to be more efficient. Investing in technology in these
difficult times will help organisations accommodate the eventual
uptake in work." Graeme was recently appointed to the board of
prestigious trade body ScotlandIS and plans to use the position to
play a part in the ICT conversation at a national level and promote
the north-east's strengths in the sector.
Graeme added: "Celebrating 15 years in the industry is a
fantastic achievement for us and I am delighted that I will be able
to share my experience through this appointment. We are witnessing
first-hand how Scotland's reputation as a centre of excellence in
software innovation is growing and as a small company that has
accomplished a lot so far there is a desire throughout the team to
ensure our evolution continues over the next 15 years and
beyond."
Codify moved into 2015 boosted by a strong year with a number of
high profile contract wins, including projects with oilfield
engineering specialists Sparrows, oilfield support services company
ASCO and contract catering services provider Entiér.
