MD joins national body

by Emma

Graeme Humphrey has achieved board membership of ScotlandIS, the trade body of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry. The organisation has a remit to raise the profile of the industry, lobby policy makers on relevant issues and support members.

Graeme has built up nearly 15 years of experience in building software systems since graduating from Aberdeen University with a first class computing science degree.

The elections for board membership of ScotlandIS generated strong interest, with 30 people standing for a position on the board.

Graeme Humphrey said:

“I am absolutely delighted to have been accepted to join the board of ScotlandIS, which is a key organisation for the ICT sector in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for Codify, a small company working with clients in the energy industry, to get a voice and make ourselves heard at our trade body.

“From improving skills to sharing ideas we will be in a great position to link in with what ScotlandIS is trying to achieve. My acceptance onto the board also has the added benefit of increasing the north-east presence at ScotlandIS which has been predominantly central belt based.

“One of the organisation’s main aims is to propel the ICT industry to maximise its impact locally, and I am proud to be able to represent software companies in Aberdeen in this way. I look forward to playing a part in the conversation at the heart of our industry.”
